A god of bots?

Every time someone blesses me with their god I feel touched. I am generally blessed with a Christian or Muslim god, but I have secretly hoped someone would bless me with several of their gods simultaneously. It hasn't happened yet (maybe one of my cyberfans will one day).

I've been trying to get my router to work. (As always, my belief in my technical abilities is overinflated). I ended up on a chatline with the manufacturer's support in the US. After a few minutes of cyberchat it dawned on me that I was communicating with a robot. Just to test, I tried flirting. Sure enough - the robot did not flirt back, but continued with its trouble-shooting list. After a bit it solved my problem. "Thank you robot" I wrote. "Thank you" replied the robot "Have a nice day and God bless".

Only an American manufacturer would mix religion up in all this I thought, but I felt oddly touched. Does the robot see something out there in cyberspace we don't see? Does it have contact with a cybergod watching over all things technical? (That would explain a lot). I wonder if I could get the robot to bless my dysfunctional printer...
